Title: Simeon Arms, Simeon Street, Ryde
Post by: harveyh on Sunday 30 October 05 16:52 GMT (UK)
Hi

Does anyone have any history on this public house.  My Great Grandparents  owned this and the coach hire business C1901 and I would love any update on whether the pub is still there?

It's certainly still there. There is a book about Ryde Pubs, Ryde Pubs - An Illustrated History, by Kevin Mitchell published in 1999 which may well include the Simeon Arms (I don't have a copy)

It's a bit away from the Town Centre, just off the Esplanade, and is in the Good Beer Guide 2006.
