I have just found out my g grandfather was in the 1st battalion, 20th Regiment of Foot from 1858 to 1877
I have his service record from Kew, but what I'm now hoping to discover is where the regiment was, and what it was doing during those years
I know it has long since amalgamated, in 1881, to the Lancashire Fusiliers, and from Kew I know it was in India and Bermuda at some times between 1858 and 1877.
Any one know of any hsistory where I may find this out, battles etc, or even just sitting in barracks would do
