Post by: corrina1979 on Saturday 29 October 05 11:07 BST (UK)
Hi
I am looking for information reguarding Isaiah Fricker of Trowbridge. He was born C.1795. He had several children including Sarah Ann (who married a Robert Ryman) and a john Lacey Fricker. I have basic info on him but would like to find out if any one else is hunting for his family aswell.
many thanks Corrina

Hi Corrina,

This may be a possibility for the Christening of your  Isaiah in Trowbridge.

Isaiah Fricker 22 Jul 1798

Father John Fricker

Mother  Elizabeth

Siblings with same parents were:
John Lacey Fricker Christened     24 Aug 1794
William Fricker Christened 9 Feb 1803

Hope this may help,

Kind Regards,

Frances :)

Hi Frances & Corrina,

Thank you for your help with the Trowbridge Frickers, but could anyone help with suggestions on how we find out who the parents John & Elizabeth Fricker were as I have drawn a blank with the IGI.

We know Isaiah was christened on 22nd July in Trowbridge from the IGI, and that he died on 7th August, 1881 (aged 88) at Camberwell Infirmary. During his life as a shoemaker he had two wives called Sarah. The first was Sarah Scott whom he married on 23rd April, 1832 in Lambeth. The second wife Sarah Fleming he married 11th January 1841 at St. Mary's Church, Newington, Surrey. There were 6 or 7 children. Where we really come unstuck is going backwards!!!!!!!!!

All suggestions would be most welcome as to where we look next.

Successful searching to everyone.
Patsy

I've seen Fricker, Frecker, Freker and Flicker in the same family tree!

Hi Silasmarner,

Have only just noticed your post about the spelling of the name Fricker. I must admit that Frecker and Freker are not variations that I have tried so back to the start!

Thanks, Patsy
