Title: stepney lookup 1851
Post by: quinny on Thursday 26 August 04 02:50 BST (UK)
Hi, I wonder if someone could please lookup census of 1851 or near and tell me anything about Charles James West who was married to Phobe (Phoebe or Phebe?) nee Blows. Also their fathers James West, Plait Merchant and William Blows, Shepherd. Strange the Isle of Dogs was great for sheep apparently!

Thanks, quinny

You really need to supply an adress for most censuses 1861 and before. Have you any from eg B/M/D certificates?

Also, can you please indicate when Charles & Phoebe married, and their age(s) together with Charles's occupation.

Pauline

Hello quinny

I am going to move this request over to the London LU requests board, as there are lots of regular contributors there who have East End resources and expertise, who may be able to help you.

Best Wishes
Rick :)

Hello,

As part of routine housekeeping, I notice that you have not responded to the re-query to ask if you are still looking for the information requested in your original post.  I am assuming therefore that you are no longer looking for this information and will move this topic into the Completed Requests section.

If this is not the case, please PM me and I will move it back into the Lookup Requests and hopefully someone will attempt to answer it.

Regards
Jonathan
