Hi fizzy,

Not a problem, hope this information might help. These were the only one's I could find actually living in Devon. There were more that were actually born in Devon, but not living in Devon on the 1861 Census.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Fizzy.

Firstly you are not a pain!!!! I am happy to help when I can as thats what this site is about afterall!! ;D ;D

Sorry, I should have probably made my last post abit more clearer.
I have posted all the Higham's I can find born in Devon, living in Devon; and
Higham's born out of the county, but living in Devon; and
Higham's born in Devon but living out of the County.

The rest were all born out of the County and living out of the County, unfortunately there are hundreds of them !!!  :o

Maybe a 41/51 look up might help you a little more, I do not have access to these census's unfortunately. At least not until the 1851 comes online on Ancestry...

Sorry I can't be more help, however if I do get any further I shall post to you.

Hope this helps in the meantime.

Good Luck

Steve

You have been a great great help thankyou so much.

Ancestry wont know what has hit it when 1851 comes on line. I bet that things will get frantic on here too although Devon and Cornwall 1851 are available as is Cornwall 1841.

Thanks

Fizzy

No Worries Fizzy,

I think you're right, Ancestry will get a bit of a hammering when it finally arrives. We shall await!  ;D
